Atelier-style small group instruction introducing the fundamental principles of drawing. Using graphite, charcoal, and pastels, students will develop observation, shape, and value while building a strong artistic foundation in a supportive environment. Art supplies are provided. Note: all my classes are taught out of my studio with one of my children in attendance.

A continuation of classical atelier training for developing artists ready to refine their observational skills. This course emphasizes accuracy in proportion, value, and form through focused still life studies. Students will deepen their understanding of light, structure, and composition while strengthening the technical foundation established in prior coursework. Art supplies are provided. Note: all my classes are taught out of my studio with one of my children in attendance.

Students will deepen their understanding of form, light, color, and composition through extended studio projects in drawing, oil, and acrylic painting, developing both technical mastery and artistic confidence. I believe art is an attempt to reflect the beauty of creation. Every painting is a small effort to capture something deeper: light, color, emotion, and the wonder found in the world around us.
My artistic journey began in childhood, privately mentored by my grandmother, a respected Beverly Hills artist whose work was exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum and collected internationally. I received extensive instruction all through my childhood and culminated in a university art degree and Congressional recognition for my work.
Today my work continues in that tradition, while also guiding the next generation. Teaching children to draw and paint is one of the most meaningful parts of my work; helping them discover the joy, confidence, and creativity that comes from making art with their own hands.
